The beach of Messonghi resort is long sandy and clean. Sunbeds
are charged at around 2 euro a time and the beach is boardered by taverna and snack bars. The water is really clear and inviting and gently slopes out, no sharp shelving. Water sports etc can be found in Moraitika. Restaurants to try include Minores, walk past the main General Supermarket, take first right and walk up the gentle hill. Food here is lovely and typically Greek. There is also an excellant pizza restaurant in Moraitika, pizzas cooked fresh to order and if you fancy something a bit more "British", the Paladium serves British style fry ups and snacks at lunchtimes. Friendly, very good reasonable home cooked food (Fishermans Haunt, Elenis grill, Billys for breakfast just in Moraitika, more classic food Zacs taverna and Dionysos taverna. All well established Greek home cooking. You may also wish to try a boat trip, don't book through the reps, this costs a fortune. If you fancy a trip, walk round by the rive.r of Messonghi and choose from the vast range of trips on offer.
